'We are in the year 1878. At the first excavations in today´s Turkey archeologists discovered remains of ancient Pergamon. Soon the findings made precious exhibitions, exciting the public and gathering a lot of glory.

The players attempt to receive hefty parts of the federal research funds to cover the costs of their excavations. Who is modest and is not demanding a lot can visit the excavating areas before his compeditors.

And the rule is: first come first dig. For the last ones only fragments remain. Founded treasures are united to valuable exhibitions and get the finder plenty of glory and recognition. The player who accumulates the most glory after 12 rounds, wins the game.

The canny combination of receiving funds and racing for the best locations to excavate makes Pergamon to a diversified game with readily accessible rules.
